Monash South Africa and Stone invite you to participate in the Monash Business Communication Initiative - an undertaking that will add significant value to both the business and public sectors in South Africa. Monash research has shown that there is a real need to improve the understanding of the role of communication in business. The strategic understanding and quality of communication practice in SA is not what it should be.

Communication practitioners must be empowered to move from a service mentality to a business-critical mind set in their understanding of their role in business. Communication must be moved from a functional to a strategic role in South African business. Monash South Africa and Stone share this common passion and commitment to address the business communication challenges our business world faces. The Monash Business Communication Initiative is a celebration of this passion and will offer you three exciting platforms to add real value to your world:

1. Monash Online Communication Community which provides you with an environment to engage with and contribute to industry, enhanced thinking and comment on a variety of issues and developments in business communication. Register NOW as a member to enjoy the member benefits.

2. Monash Business Communication Forums which provides a thought leadership platform for critical discussion and engagement with balanced participation by senior communication experts, industry leaders and significant decision makers.

3. Monash Business Communication Incubator which provides a programme of continued research-based learning in the form of a series of lectures conducted by industry experts and senior academics. This is an interactive, workshop type learning experience where knowledge will be gained as well as having a tangible outcome: a communication strategy for your organisation or client of your choice. On completion of the Incubator, you will receive 2 hours free consultation with one of the presenters of the Incubator as a coaching session to guide you in implementing what you have learned.
